I have been anticipating fish & chips for the pass 2 months. My swim buddy turned me on to OK UK British Fish & Chips. I was not disappointed. They even have Sarson Malt vinegar. The real deal from England. Created 1791 in London.. I got the King size fish & chips. An inch thick beer batter Atlantic cod. It was cooked to perfection. Lightly brown on the outside juicy and moist on the inside. It was delished. Along with hand cut chips,( thick cut french fries for you non world travelers). A side roll and coleslaw. Cole slaw was good not great. But you come here for the beer batter fish. Prices are reasonable for SWFL. It is tucked away in a strip mall. A bit hard to find but when you need a fix of fish & chip worth the trip.

As a longtime vegetarian only recently starting to eat fish, the English favorite of fish and chips has been a newfound favorite of mine. So, while visiting the area, this place's stellar Yelp reviews caught my attention... and it lives up to the hype. Easily some of the best fish and chips I have had (even better than in Iceland!) and highly recommended.

I love their fish and chips. Reminds me of eating fresh fish in Rhode Island. Awesome a must try place. Clam chowder is rich and creamy and oh so good.

If you're looking for authentic fish and chips, look no further! I've had sorry soggy and slippery excuses for fish and chips in my Florida, but this place is where it's at. I've eaten fish and chips all over the UK and pubs in Boston where you'd find the real deal, and this place is no different. Don't think you'll find better fish and chips anywhere else in the area. The staff was really pleasant. Oh and they have beer! ;)

What a nice surprise! Generous portions of fluffy battered cod and fresh cut chips available in king and queen size (of course)! A case of tempting meat pies caught my eye for my next visit. Will definitely be back.

Great find fish and chips were great...north Atlantic cod with hand cut fries. I'm sure the rest of the menu is as good. Place was very clean and the owner was very friendly and acommodating. Has outdoor seating and we had our dog and the owner brought out a bowl of fresh water for her

We had the combo #3, so fish, chicken, shrimp, chips, coleslaw, and roll. It was all fabulous, but almost couldn't finish it all. We will definitely be back.

A GREAT authentic British fish and chips dinner! Delicious, flaky white fish and homemade fresh cut chips in a nice, clean friendly atmosphere. Pies, bridies and sausage rolls on the menu too! A variety of food products and candy available to please and stir the memories of those of us who have been across the pond. You must try this if you love fish and chips!

Was vacationing in Florida and a friend told me to check out OKUK and I am happy I did! Delicious food, great service, extremely welcoming and kind owners and very reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Florida.

Great fish and chips. We had the queen--one large piece of crispy coated fish, a lot of fries, cole slaw and a roll. Didn't care for the slaw, but loved the rest.

Just moved to North Fort Myers and happily found this almost around the corner. Even more happily, since my family is straight from Liverpool, it's an excellent chippy. Food is fresh, hot and good. Everything is cooked properly. They even have mushy peas! I don't eat red meat so haven't tried the meat pies, but they look just right. The fish, shrimp, and chicken are terrific. The place is nice and clean. The people are so friendly. They even have some English chocolate for purchase and I go a bit mad for that. My only suggestion? Have them open up a proper pub in Marinatown and replace the awful food, awful service, and depressing atmosphere. You'd never get me to leave.

Wonderful service and delicious food! We came for dinner last night and came back again today. My fiancé - who's English - says that the chips are the closest that he's had to the ones from home since he's been in the states. The wine and beer are very reasonably priced ( $3 and $4 respectively ) and it's a kid friendly place. I will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

Been in Florida 12 years and this is the best fish and chips family and I have had here. Flaky non-fishy tasting beautiful white fish perfectly fried crispy batter - you must come here if you love good old fashioned fish n chips! They have chicken and shrimp too for those not into fish, which my some raved about.

I gave this place five stars because it deserves it. I am a retired 5 star gourmet chef who started out cooking fish n chips in my Grandparent's very busy New England seafood house at the age of 13, I spent 30 years in the biz climbing the culinary ladder to cook for some very famous people. I also owned a highly acclaimed restaurant. I know how to cook and am most finicky of all when it comes to Fish N Chips, than anything else. When I eat a meal of fried food, I want to feel good about it mentally, and want to physically feel good after eating it. I get both feelings fulfilled when I eat here. I actually get kind of ecstatic about getting home to eat my meal during the ten to 15 minute drive home. The food stays nice and hot all the way home. Of course I always like to eat the chicken fingers cold the next day for left overs., YUM. Now onto my review. It is very hard in any city to find real great fish n' chips. After reading the Yelp reviews I went to check it out. It is tucked away in a strip mall, simply decorated but nice and most of all the place it clean and spotless and they cook out front. There is something to say these days about a restaurant that has a very limited menu. You know they are turning over product daily so the product is fresh and NOT hanging out in some walk-in cooler for a week before it gets to your plate. The beer battered shrimp and chicken tenders are great, the fries are made from fresh hand cut potatoes, the tartar sauce is good, real malt vinegar. I always get the King Cut Fish N Chips and it is more than enough food for my 205 pound body but I always squeeze in some of that great New England Clam Chowder they serve. Out of everything I have tried I liked it all except for one thing, the mustard sauce that they serve with the chicken tenders. I much prefer something tastier, like mixing dijon mustard with some honey, or perhaps mix Coleman's dry mustard with water and honey for a spicy mustard sauce. Another thing I wish they had was larger clam chowder sizes. I wish they offered not only cups and bowls of chowder but would also like to see pints and quarts on the menu. I would buy a pint or quart every time I went in so I could eat it at home for lunch a couple of times. Selling the chowder cold is also great for those of us that want to eat it another day. They sell a nice package when you get it to-go. For the Fish n Chips you get a roll and real butter and everything you need to enjoy your meal. All I can say is the staff here is great, and once you try the food you' ll be hooked for life! To hell with the restaurant chains that hurt so many great little restaurants like this place, when it comes time for Fish N' Chips there is only one place to go. HERE. You won't leave here having to take a bath because you smell like an old fry house either, the air is clean and refreshing. Thanks Guys for opening here in North Fort Myers. SUPPORT LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESSES!

Last time I had fish & chips this fresh and fantastic, I had to pay $6 to cross the Sanibel bridge and drive all the way to captiva. This place is a lot closer to home!! Excellent quality food. Nice staff and clean comfortable surroundings. Couldn't make up my mind and had to try fish, shrimp and chicken! No complaints. No regrets. Will eat here many more times to come. Remember to support local small business!!!

Hands down the absolute best authentic fish & chips I've eaten in 15 years of living in Lee County. It goes without saying that once you eat here, you'll never waste your money at Long John Silvers' ever again. But I've had fish & chips at numerous other restaurants as well and nobody gets it right like OK UK does. The Icelandic cod filets are cooked to perfection with a minimum amount of breading. The chips are hand-cut daily from fresh potatoes and they are superb. Don't miss this place! I'm going back tomorrow!

Second or third time here. Always good fish & chips. Everything taste fresh and good. Boddingtons beer, in the can but better than not having it. Got to remember to try the shrimp and the meat pies next time. If you like fish & chips, this is the place in Lee county.

Was looking for somewhere to stop to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. It is a little hard to see like previous people have said from Cleveland Avenue. I myself stumbled upon okuk by accident. It is your typical pub style fish very well done. I love the hand cut potato fries delicious. They also have a pretty good selection of beer. They also have chicken and shrimp. If you are not a big eater the queen size is plenty enough.

Maybe I'm too picky. It was good, but not five star. A disclaimer, I have never had UK fish and chips. Maybe this is what it supposed to look like. It arrived with a glistening of grease. Ok, it is deep fried. Used my plastic for to cut into the fish and oil oozed around the edges. However, the fish was perfectly done and tasty, and too be fair, the batter was thin. The French fries didn't make the cut. They were on the soggy side and greasy. The cole slaw was fine. I'm not sure why they serve a "roll" with it. It was pretty much a generic mini grocery store hamburger bun. They play good music, the Stones and the Beatles. The decor is basic fast food. Order at the counter, plastic utensils and basket.

Having had my heart set on eating a massive lunch out at Long John Silvers and not finding it where Siri said I would find it was a serious blow to my stomach. However, 20 faithful Yelpers, had rated OK UK FISH & CHIPS quite high with the stars, so we went here instead and were delighted with the choice! Extensive menu decisions to be made and I wanted to taste everything so it was suggested I go with combo #3-came with a massive piece of cod, two shrimp, and a chicken strip (all fried to perfection) cole slaw, roll, and some of the crispiest best fries I've ever encountered! Condiments of malt vinegar, honey mustard and cocktail dipping sauces completed the meal. Well worth the trip if you are ever staying or passing through the Fort Myers area and I've plans to visit again very soon.
